The local area
Every Friday there is a lovely market in the local village. They offer a wide range of top quality products. These are generally local and regional cheeses, bread freshly baked every day, patisserie products, olives and dried fruits, handbags, jewellery, provencal soaps, and much more. You can drop in and purchase some real french goodies to take home and enjoy, or as presents.
The carp lake is just thirty minutes drive from Cherbourg and fifteen minutes from the coast. The nearest shops, bars, restaurants and cafes are five minutes away in the town of Montebourg. There are plenty of local restaurants around if you fancy a night out ranging from fine dining to pub style food like steak and chips.
“The Manche Department of north western France is steeped in history and offers plenty of sightseeing and an abundance of charming French villages.”.
The annual D-Day celebrations every June include fly-bys and paratroopers dropping in from the sky. The Tour de Normandie Classic Car Rally, the Joan of Arc festival and Normandy Sailing Week are just three of a multitude of events taking place throughout the year.
Normandy
For family and friends
We thought of everyone
We know that not all the people who come to our lake are anglers and we want their stay to be pleasant, too.
You will find a football pitch, table tennis, board games, outdoor games but that’s not all:
The children’s forest, a mini adventure park with zip line, monkey bridge, ninja course, swing; a real moment of happiness for your children!
You also relax on our deckchairs or hammock and also in our outdoor lounge area with a view of the lake. We wanted to create something special, which would please anglers and their friends as well as partners and children.
