AlbartFirst season, March 2027
Two acres of deep, silent water in the Normandy countryside, a stone farmhouse on the bank, and a stock of hand-picked carp still waiting for their names.
Your rods a few steps away. A luxury bivvy with all the comfort of home. Impressive fish. And unforgettable moments, with family or with friends.
Twenty minutes from Asgard, deep in the Normandy countryside, Albart pairs a two-acre lake with a fully restored stone farmhouse right on the bank. Two swims open straight from the house, the pool looks over the water, and for the whole week the lake and the pool are yours, with five hectares of forest edge and a river to explore.
The lake
Each swim takes its name from one of the world's great ancient mysteries, and each fishes its own way: twin swims at the lodge door, a stalking swim on an island reached by boat, a sheltered corner under a century-old tree, and a swim surrounded by water with the river at your back.
The fish
Around 85 carp, picked one by one for their looks and their growth potential: the finest of the lake's original fish, joined by 65 new arrivals averaging over 31 lb. Not one has been named yet. Bank a fish that's never been caught here, and you choose what it's called.
The lodge
Six bedrooms, almost all looking over the lake, including two ground-floor rooms for the anglers, ten metres from the rods. A heated private pool, a sunny pergola, a games room for the children, and enough space for several families to each have their own corner.
From first light to the middle of the night, this is what a week here feels like.
You wake ten metres from your rods. First coffee on the bank, mist lifting off the water.
The angler rooms
Take the boat across to Oracle Island, travel light, and stalk the margins with water all around you.
Oracle Island
The family by the heated pool, the kids at the table football, and you, never far from the alarms.
The pool and games room
Dinner under the pergola, everyone at the same table, the lake turning gold in front of you.
Life in the house
A one-toner in the dark. Out of bed and on the rods in seconds. Somebody is about to name a fish.
The fish
Forest edge, a river running through, deer and stags at dawn. The kind of quiet you only notice once you're in it, and miss the moment you leave.
The first season at Albart opens in March 2027. The first anglers on the bank will set the records, and give the fish their names.
Or ask us a question, we'll be happy to help.
