AlbartThe Lodge
Here the lodge becomes your bivvy, less than ten metres from your rods. Almost every room looks out over the lake, and so does the heated pool.
A traditional Normandy farmhouse, built in stone and fully restored around one idea: comfort, for the anglers and for everyone who comes with them.
The house sleeps up to fourteen guests in six bedrooms, including two ground-floor rooms set aside for the anglers.
The layout is the real luxury. Two, three or even four families can share the house and still each have a space of their own, with clearly separate areas to retreat to at the end of the day.
Leave the bivvy at home. At Albart, your room is your swim.
Two ground-floor bedrooms dedicated to the anglers, designed for real rest between runs, and about ten metres from your rods, day and night.
Landing nets, cradles, slings and a weighing system are all on site, ready for the first fish.
In the house and on the swims, so you stay connected without leaving the rods.
A big lounge with English TV channels, and games in the main room for good evenings with family and friends.
Designed for the whole family and reserved for your group alone. Walls all around keep the wind out and the privacy in, while the lake stays in view.
For the non-anglers, the early risers and the late talkers: a house made for long days and slow evenings.
A private games room just next to the lodge, and plenty of space to run outside.
Rainy afternoon or long summer evening, there's always something to play. Outside, a football pitch and five hectares of meadow and woodland, with a river running through, are waiting to be explored.
The estate stretches over more than five hectares at the edge of the forest, with a river running through it. Deer, stags and birds are regular visitors, and the silence is complete. Perfect for family walks, and for the quiet moments between takes.
Albart sits on a larger estate, and we'd rather tell you everything.
A separate building on the grounds is let as holiday cottages. It has been laid out so that your week is never affected: you won't see its guests, and they'll never be on your side of the estate.
Both are entirely private and reserved for your group, all week long.
The cottages have no access to the lake or its banks. The swims are for your anglers only.
Their terrace and bedrooms face south, on the far side of the building, turned away from the lake.
A completely independent access: they never pass in front of your lodge or your swims.
The cottages are in a separate building. Your lodge, its rooms and its terrace remain yours alone.
The lake
Two acres, five swims and Oracle Island at the centre.
